The $80 Chicken

Apparently the Nomad Hotel has a famous restaurant that serves an $80 chicken.  They weren't too creative, so they named the restaurant Nomad.  Yes, Nomad at the Nomad.

The Gourmet Club offered me the chance to eat the chicken and mcuh more for just $20, so I had to do it.  It was hard to take pictures because the restaurant is mainly lit by candle light.  I did my best in low light.  The pictures actually look better than I expected given the conditions.  Yay for the Lumia 920 low light ability.

Up first, appetizers.

Those are bones.  The filling is bone marrow.  I suppose that makes sense.

Fancy bread.

Lobster pasta.

We had five or six appetizers, but I wasn't able to take pictures of it all.  I can't say I have ever ordered bone marrow before.

You can read about the chicken in that review.  It sums it up better than I can.  I normally don't believe the type, but I have to agree that it is the tastiest chicken on Earth.  It pretty much has to be or the price would never work.

My portion.

Plated chicken breast.
We had a few other dishes including scallops, steak, and duck, but the chicken was the focus.  Imagine that! Chicken breast upstaging steak?

Chocolate tart.

Coconut cake I think...

Milk and Honey
I ended up with a $100+ meal for $20, so I was very satisfied.  Plus, I ate the world's best chicken.  Great deal.
